Please be advised of upcoming scheduled maintenance to our Feed App services:
Scheduled Maintenance: Feed Server Architecture Update
Summary To address recent increases in feed job volume and intermittent failures, we are migrating our feed servers from Intel x86 to ARM-based infrastructure, delivering an expected ~20% performance improvement and ~20% cost reduction.
Issue Identified: Only Alcosto jobs failed, due to RAR file dependency not supported on ARM. These jobs have been confirmed as safe to disable.
Rollout Plan: Step Alpha Production 1. Create separate ARM queue — available post-deployment (Done) 2. Launch first ARM server (new AMI + ASG) - Nov 11, 2025 (Done) 3. Run one brand end-to-end — Nov 11, 2025 4. Stop old servers & scale ARM servers — Nov 13, 2025
Potential Impact: Only impacts the Feed App May affect brand feed jobs or sync processes (Salesforce → Pinot, SF → Flix360 sync, etc.) No downtime expected
Rollback Plan: If required, jobs can be switched back to the old Intel servers. Estimated rollback time: ~2 hours
If you encounter any issues on the back of this, please reach out to myself or Amer in Tech.
Kind Regards, Jason
